Project followed previous cooperation in the field of environmental governance (Earth System Governance, Global Governance, and other consortia) and developed new approaches in EU multilevel climate governance. Project contributed to the concept of SMART governance focused on decision-making process under controlled conditions, which decrease the level of uncertainty of information and takes into account the complexity of socio-economic, technological and biological factors and motivations for decision-making. CETIP developed the concept of polycentric governance in governance theory and practice of environmental policies within the project. CETIP also focused on development of experimental “Green City Game” in the Experimental Laboratory od Social Science .
