The main objective of the project was to support sustainable planning and decision making tools in mountain forest ecosystems that are exposed to high vulnerability and global environmental change (GEC).

The impacts of various management measures as well as the impact of forest ownership relationships on the health of local forest ecosystems and their ability to provide ecosystem services and contribute to the welfare of the entire society have been investigated. In terms of sustainable management, management and decision making processes in forest ecosystems in selected European countries (Slovakia, Slovenia, Scotland, Bulgaria) have been analyzed.
